It gets better. Kevin Youkilis said so.

I’m having a terrible day. But you know what? It gets better.

Thanks to Jup for cluing me in to the BoSox’s participation in a really great cause: the It Gets Better Project.

It’s something I’ve covered in my other life as a reporter– a video project aimed at telling the youth of America that it really does get better. The project was started to bring light to a serious issue: GLBT suicide. The project has attracted everyone from Ellen Degeneres to the cast of Glee. Oh. And now Terry Francona, Jason Varitek and… KEVIN YOUKILIS.

“You are not alone,” Kevin Youkilis said. “…A lot of people go and get therapy, myself included.”

How very brave and considerate. Don’t you think, FDA?

But, in all seriousness, the Trevor Project serves a great dual purpose and deserves the full support of Red Sox Nation.

1. To encourage kids and young adults that it really does get better. Bullying is temporary.

2. To spread awareness about bullying and its effects on kids.

So CLICK HERE to see our boys in action.

LMAO the therapy is hilarious. He needs it. I know my bad but this it gets better campaign is lame. It’s also a lie. It does not always get better. Sometime life just sucks.

It would be more honest to say, Grow up and forget the losers that make your life hell. Live for yourself. Who cares what some bigot says to you. Live well and he can live in his mom’s basement for the rest of his life. You win. He loses.
