Rest In Peace, Lou Gorman

Full (sober) Opening Day recap tomorrow.

“The sun will rise, the sun will set, and I’ll have lunch.” 1987, Red Sox GM Lou Gorman when asked what might happen if he didn’t reach a contract agreement with the great Roger Clemens

Just got a press alert that Lou Gorman has passed away.

Congested heart failure.

In 1986 when I was learning my first curse words at the ripe age of two (thanks, dad), he was letting a few fly of his own. The Sox (as you all know) lost to the Mets that year while Gorman was GM. RIP, Lou.

“He wanted to make it to opening day and he did.”
