Rich Hill re-signed. Memory of his elbow implosion haunts us all.
Remember THIS? That’s when Rich Hill’s elbow exploded all over our hopes and dreams in June.

Well. He’s back. Re-signed today. Not getting a lot of media hype. Probably because we didn’t have to sacrifice anyone Reddick-style to the baseball gods.
“Hill, if healthy, has the potential to be the top lefty in the Red Sox pen…”
Whatever. Keep them coming. I will not be satisfied until our back-ups have back-ups. What do you think, Soxies? Think Richie Hill will stay healthy enough to save the day? Are you a big Rich Hill fan? Are there ANY big Rich Hill fans?

I’m always nervous about a pitcher who’s had any kind of arm/elbow/shoulder surgery. The Rangers signed Brandon Webb a couple years ago, and he’s never pitched a single pitch for them yet. A Cy Young winner, no less.
Whenever someone uses the word “potential”…look out below.
