Oh GOOOOOD. Soxplosion is documented. With sources. GOOOOOD.

Yes, journalists. Jobs bill? What jobs bill?! We want to talk about the Red Sox! The economy can wait!

Read this.

Go ahead. READ IT.

Well, I’ve never been a fan of “unnamed source” articles. Funny thing, the fellow who stalked Sarah Palin for a couple of years and then wrote a “bio” about her just took to the editorial pages of USA Today a couple days back to defend the use of “unnamed sources.” We can debate that later. For now, let us just say there appears to be enough actual, tangible evidence the Red Sox were not operating on all cylinders. Everyone was not rowing in the same direction. Whatever analogy you choose to roll with. What a waste of a season. What a waste of talent. What a waste of fans’ passion for an alleged TEAM. Sad, L. Very sad.

It’s amazing what winning cures…Had the Red Sox made the playoffs, none of this would be coming out.

You would think a NYY fan would revel in this. But I don’t! I know, I’m surprised too! (as well as puzzled by it)

I feel badly that this is being done. It’s like a family airing dirty laundry. It’s all wrong.
The unnamed sources, the pointing of fingers.
Look this shit (eating in the clubhouse etc) happens everywhere in many clubhouses.
I bet the drinking too but if you’re Pittsburgh or another team with less media you don’t hear about it.

But I think because you were chosen to be the can’t lose team by ESPN and SI covers I think “they” (media) are making this a bigger deal than necessary don’t you?
It sure doesn’t help anyone does it? Does it make you as a fan feel better? It never did me.
They are picking at the carcass so to speak. Sometimes one attitude does change a whole clubhouse whether positive or negative be it a player or management. We’ve all seen it.

I’ve seen this stuff done to us many many times over the years.
It makes a sickening feeling/season worse.

Sometimes being an underdog is a good thing.
