As if trying to get a bar to play baseball in a non-baseball state wasn’t hard enough…
A growing trend has bars playing video games. Video games, mind you, that patrons aren’t even participating in. Video games, mind you, that are directly competing with MY RED SOX.

Reason number 5,865 you need to hire me at your Boston-based newspaper.

What if it was a video-game simulation of the 2004 ALCS? Would you be cool for that? It’d be an improvement over John Lackey or Tim Wakefield pitching!
That’s one thing about video games, I’ve never understood why you’d want to stand up while your playing. I’d rather challenge a friend when they come by my house instead of playing them in a bar.
Yeah, but you’re not even playing. You’re watching people you don’t know, who aren’t even in the bar play. It’s bizarre. It’s like sports but not interesting.
