Manny in the HOF? Um. No.
Oh, I know. Because it’s an off day.
No. You juice, you get caught (TWICE), you blow Cooperstown.
Seriously. It sucks. It really sucks. It sucks for Manny’s fans. It sucks for the Red Sox. It sucks for the Dodgers. It sucks for all of the teams Manny helped win. It sucks.
But it happened. Manny got caught. Not once. But twice.
We’ve already rewarded him with salary, fame and attention.
No HOF.
No more rewards for cheapening a sport I happen to enjoy.
You get juiced. You get caught. No Cooperstown for you. And yet blogs and sportscasters have polls up, are devoting an irrational amount of time to this debate today.
What do you think? Because to me, it’s pretty fricking straight forward. HOF isn’t just about numbers. It’s about role models. People who represent the sport and represent it well. It showcases people kids can look up to.
Not assholes with needles hanging out of their arm.
Leave that to Celebrity Rehab.

I couldn’t agree anymore. I used to be an avid Manny supporter, but this has gone too far. This his second violation yes, but he also tested positive in 2003. If he had only tested once, then most likely. Twice, maybe? Three times, can’t even fathom it. Part of the HoF is being a standup person. He was far from that.

The whole Hall of Fame is already tainted since they didn’t start cracking the hwhip (intentional) until recently. Steroids in baseball has become like fake tits in porn, people want bigger, better, more, so the star is forced to enhance themselves to give the fan that and compete with other stars/competitors.
I agree. If they’re going to open the discussion on Manny getting into the HOF, then why are we not doing the same for Bonds? Neither should be in the HOF in my opinion but Bonds deserves it before Manny does.
Mr. Mackey is the consumate expert on drugs, not to mention an outstanding role model for South Park students and residents alike. “Drugs are bad, okay?” I have my own opinions on the steroid era but as I posted recently, Steve Phillips says steroids saved baseball…so let ‘em all in the HOF according to his expert opinion.
